StrangerAIert turns your Ring camera footage into three scheduled daily reports — at 08:00, 18:00, and 23:00 in your local time. Family and recurring faces stay quiet; strangers and first-time visitors stand out.
Open StrangerAIertStrangerAIert is not a real-time alerting service. Instead, it batches what your cameras see into three concise scheduled reports per day — so you read once, not react every minute.
The Report tab shows a 4-week calendar with a blue dot on every day someone visited. A red stripe marks days with an unreviewed Watchlist visit; an orange line marks days with a first-time visitor. Click any date to see the daily report for that day.
Each day's visitors are grouped into Watchlist (always in the report), New Today (first-time visitors), and Returning Visitors (already seen before). Surprises rise to the top.
Push notifications arrive at 08:00 / 18:00 / 23:00 in your local time. Each push summarizes the previous window — overnight (22:00–07:00), daytime (07:00–17:00), or evening (17:00–22:00) — with per-category visitor counts. Tap to open the full report.
Tag people as Familiar (hidden from the report by default) or add them to your Watchlist (always featured). When you ignore a visitor for several days, the report auto-demotes them; if they keep coming back, the People tab auto-suggests them in Frequently Visitors for one-tap registration.
Group cameras that watch the same area (front door + porch, for example) and StrangerAIert treats a person seen on one camera as the same person on the other. No more duplicate "first-time" entries when someone walks past two cameras at once. You can also turn analysis off per camera in Settings.
Your camera data is never used to train shared AI models. No human at StrangerAIert reviews your footage during normal operation. You can delete any visitor, all your data, or your entire account from Settings — and disconnect Ring at any time from either app.
Connect once. StrangerAIert handles the rest, on a schedule.
Open the Ring app, find StrangerAIert in the App Store, and tap Connect. We link via Ring's official OAuth — your Ring password is never shared with us.
Motion events flow in continuously as your cameras detect movement, but face recognition runs as a batch once every hour at the top of the hour. New visits appear on the dashboard at the next hourly mark — not the instant they happen. Multi-model verification (YOLOv8 + ArcFace + AdaFace + HDBSCAN) rejects matches the models do not jointly agree on.
At 08:00 / 18:00 / 23:00 in your local time you receive a push with visitor counts for the previous window — and only when that window has new visits you have not already reviewed. Open the dashboard to see who came, with photos and source video. Don't bother opening someone you don't care about — the system automatically demotes people you ignore for several days.
Free to start. Works with the Ring cameras you already have.
